New owners are preparing to write a new chapter for a Californian bungalow in beachside Drumcondra that sold for first time in almost 60 years.
The 613sq m property at 25 Beach Pde, Drumcondra, sold for $1.27m at an auction last weekend.
Two bidders contested Saturday’s auction for the three-bedroom house.

McGrath, Geelong agent Carl Hammond the buyers were a young family from Victoria’s Western District.
“They want to be bayside,” he said.
“The house has been owned by the same family for 57 years.
“And it was absolutely immaculate.”
Mr Hammond said the owners would renovate to home over time.
The timber home is one street from the Western Beach foreshore.
A central hallway leads into the home where a living room and study and the first of three bedrooms look onto the front veranda.
Two more bedrooms share a central bathroom before the main hall leads into a kitchen, living and dining room at the rear.
