The body of a 43-year-old man who was stabbed on Brisbane's busy Newmarket Road at Wilston on Sunday has sparked a murder investigation by police.
The man was found by a member of the public around 2am near Wilston train station.
Police said preliminary investigations suggested he had been stabbed.
Police are questioning a boy and a girl, both aged 17, who were found nearby.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said the boy was allegedly found with a knife.
"To describe it as a large knife probably is an understatement. It's basically the size of a small machete."
Police believe the man owned a unit less than a kilometre from where he was allegedly stabbed.
The area was declared a crime scene and police urge anybody who may have been driving along Newmarket Road between 11pm and 2am on Sunday, and has dashcam footage, to contact police.
Cody Horrigan lives near where the man's body was discovered and said she woke this morning to find police gathered outside her home.
"I got up and I could see policemen and some professionals that looked like detectives, so I thought something must've happened last night," she said.
"I didn't want to go out and disturb them because I could see there was a blue tarp around near the tree of my driveway.
"It's pretty shocking because I only just moved in two months ago."
