Former footy heavyweight John “Bomber” Hendrie and his wife and The Block star Jenni Wright are punting their Gold Coast villa onto the market.
The VFL great played 197 games for Hawthorn from 1972 to 1982, and was equal third in the 1975 Brownlow Medal.
But now, the ex-half forward is offloading his four-bedroom waterfront villa at 2/159 Stanhill Drive, Chevron Island in Surfers Paradise which goes under the hammer at the end of June.

While Queensland doesn’t permit publicly providing a price guide for when a property goes to auction, the last sale of a four-bedroom villa in the area was for $2.5m in April 2023.
Mr Hendrie said when it was low tide, the home had its own private beach which their dog Walli enjoyed.
“I’ve got a plank that goes down onto the beach, and I can run him on a little private beach with a ball,” he said.
“We can catch fish off our terrace so Sunday afternoon, we have a bottle of wine and I put a fishing line in.
“It’s just a nice place to live and it’s easy paced and got all the conveniences that we need.”
He added that they were selling the abode because they wanted to downsize and move to the Sunshine Coast.
CoreLogic records show Mr Hendrie and Ms Wright purchased the property in May 2015 for $1.01m.
Mr Hendrie said he’s had a lot of former footy mates at his home for a beer.
“I’ve had lots of footy mates here and they’ve loved it and they all sit out on the deck and yell out to the boats to come have a beer with us,” he said.
“We were premiers in 1976 and 1978 but Dipper, he was probably the highlight (to visit).”
Former Hawthorn star Robert DiPierdomenico, otherwise known as “Dipper”, played 240 games for the team and won the Brownlow Medal in 1986.
Located on Main river and spanning 228sq m, the Chevron Island residence faces northwest and has a plunge pool and private pontoon.
It’s adorned in marble flooring, a wrought iron staircase and stainless-steel appliances fitted in the kitchen.
The villa is being auctioned on Friday 28 June at 10am.
