A luxury penthouse in Broadbeach has quietly changed hands in an $8.4m off-market deal.
Antony Rizzo of Ray White Burleigh Group – Miami handled the sale of the top-floor apartment in the Ultra building.
“The vendors weren’t really looking for a sale at the time but were open to me bringing through a buyer,” Mr Rizzo said.
“I had someone who was very interested in the property and did the appointments and sold the property.”
The two-level 1093 sqm apartment on levels 30 and 31 of Ultra Broadbeach is the result of a former owner merging two penthouses into one.
It previously sold in 2016 for $6.25m.

Mr Rizzo declined to comment on the buyer but said the residence would provide a base for them when returning from overseas trips.
“They were originally living on the Gold Coast and wanted to get back into the Gold Coast market,” he said.
As well as offering 360 degree views and multiple living zones, the apartment includes a rooftop terrace with pool, steam room and gym.
Other features include a custom curved cocktail lounge and bar as well as a formal lounge with three marble-clad eco-smart fireplaces.
“It’s the pinnacle of prestige living to be on the waterfront and have ocean views,” Mr Rizzo said.
“The view is absolutely sensational.”
Mr Rizzo said the penthouse market was reaching new heights.
“The city has been craving this sort of market for a while,” he said.
“There’s a lot of buyers with deep pockets at the moment.”
