An eclectic array of architectural marvels - including a property likened to Buckingham Palace - topped the list for most viewed listings on realestate.com.au in May.

A palatial six bedroom, five bathroom residence at 4 Bosc Court, Templestowe set on 4000sqm, dubbed ‘Maison Bénie’, was the most viewed listing for the month, notching up 22,951 views.

The palatial property is tipped to break the suburb’s residential price record.

If sold within the advertised price range of $12.7 to $13.9 million, the home could surpass the area’s previous benchmark by more than $5m.

Selling agent Mark Salvati from Jellis Craig Boroondara said while the grand residence was not quite as big as Buckingham Palace, it did share some similarities.

“It has got that sort of look about it I suppose with the big sort of forecourt,” he said.

“It’s a very classically designed home - it's one that I think will stand the test of time very well.”

The French provincial style residence’s long list of luxe features include a gas/solar-heated infinity pool, an eight-person jacuzzi, Versailles European oak flooring, antique 18th century French lanterns and six living areas.

A rear courtyard overlooks the solar-heated infinity pool and eight-person jacuzzi.

There is also a basement entertainers’ parlour featuring a billiards zone, fully fitted bar, lounge and a home cinema.

The attention to detail of finishes throughout, which Mr Salvati said had pretty much all been custom made or imported, made it totally bespoke and a “quantum leap” above other properties.

Rainforest residence in exclusive Toorak pocket

Another listing that generated plenty of online interest was 10 Blackfriars Close, Toorak, which drew 22,670 views, and was snapped up for an undisclosed sum by high-profile restaurant couple Andrew McConnell and Jo McGann.

The home had been listed for sale via Marcus Chiminello at Marshall White for $15.9m-$17m.

Its listing described the four bedroom, two bathroom residence as “a unique and utterly breathtaking family sanctuary nestled within a secluded 1373sqm approx. ‘rainforest’ at the end of one of Toorak’s most exclusive cul-de-sacs.”

The home’s living and entertaining spaces are suspended above the garden by an innovative steel bridge originally designed by architect Robin Boyd in 1955.

Open-plan design makes the most of natural light throughout the home.

Creating a treehouse ambience, these areas are encased in floor-to-ceiling glass framed by black steel.

A circular oak panelled wall is home to a temperature-controlled wine cellar, and there is also a studio, media room and gym/yoga area, which opens to a sprawling deck area.

Elegant period home in inner Melbourne

Shortlisted in the Australian Interior Design Awards, it is not hard to see why this Melbourne residence attracted thousands of online views.

Described in its listing as a “sublime Armadale landmark", 878 High Street, Armadale has been recently renovated by architects Pleysier Perkins, interior designers Sanders & King and landscape design by Myles Baldwin.

The home's former stables have been overhauled into a private resort sanctuary, with a kitchen and living area, a bathroom, sauna and upstairs bedroom.

Other features include two front sitting rooms with marble fireplaces, basement parking for six cars, a home gym, wine cellar and hydronic heating.

It is being sold via an Expressions of Interest campaign, with an indicative price guide of $13 million to $14 million.

First-home buyers and investors expressed strong interest in 24 Old Reservoir Road, Belgrave, which drew more than 18,000 online views on realestate.com.au.

Sales agent Connor Pinnington from Noel Jones Maroondah & Yarra Ranges said the home attracted considerable interest because it was the “perfect price point” for first-home buyers and investors, in addition to the fact Belgrave was a low turnover suburb.

However, he said the home, which had been owned by the vendor for 40 years, needed a lot of work, and the high maintenance block was not for everyone.

“But I think the thing that really made it a standout was the fact that it was three bedroom and two bathrooms and with a bit of land to enjoy,” he said.

“People loved the gardens,” sales agent Isabela Klemich from Alexander Real Estate said.

“The prestigious Victoria Avenue address, and the fact that it's on so much land, you just can't get that anywhere.”

Sales agent Amir Mian from Amir Prestige Group Mermaid Beach said the residence has attracted phenomenal interest.

“It's not put together - it’s a labour of love in that there’s been a lot of tears and hard work there because it’s always challenging when you are building on the hill, and its always challenging when you are putting together a street frontage that is almost 100 metres approx,” he said.

“Once you walk in, just grasping the view but how enlightened the view is in every part of the house - even in the garage you have a bit of a glimpse of a view.”

Entertaining can also be delivered in true 007 style.

A luxurious self-contained guest house is accessed via a mezzanine bridge, and it even has its own deck, heated infinity pool and car space.
