ClearVue Technologies has sold a second package of its integrated solar glazing windows to a leading United States-based greenhouse manufacturer, which plans to use the high-tech product to help construct a new demonstration facility in California.

Management says the exhibit by System USA – which has a 40-year history in greenhouse manufacturing – will promote the advantages of its window technology that is designed to maximise energy produced from sunlight. Use of the glass also triggers qualification for incentives provided under the US Inflation Reduction Act.

ClearVue Technologies says its solar glazing units provide unrivalled energy benefits when installed in buildings and greenhouses.

It believes the order valued at about US$118,000 (AU$175,000) will showcase its innovative windows to a wider market and open doors for the technology to be used on a bigger scale within the Californian company’s greenhouse business.

ClearVue Technologies global chief executive officer Martin Deil said: “The global market for solar greenhouses is a critical part of our growth strategy. Our immediate focus is on the US market where we can leverage government incentives for renewable energy solutions in agriculture.”

Deil said the repeat order with System USA validated the company’s technology through its the relationship with a key player in the US greenhouse industry. ClearVue is laser-focused on the US market as it offers huge growth potential with many of its cities revealing stated net-zero targets.

Management recently opened a new office in San Jose, receiving a fanfare of publicity including a front-page story in a local Californian newspaper. It is timely promotion as the company plans to engage the US investment community on the back of recent policy initiatives that provide incentives for the construction sector and promotes net-zero emission goals.

An IGU is a clear, double-glazed glass panel with a laminated plastic interlayer that sits between the two glass panels. The laminated proprietary technology interlayer contains nano and microparticles.
