Former My Kitchen Rules contestants Zana Pali and husband Gianni Romano have sold their Brighton house for about $10m.

The couple appeared in MKR’s 2016 season and Pali, also a director at the Bayside luxury development company Pali + Co, will represent Australia at the 2025 Miss Europe Continental beauty contest in Germany.

Mr Romano and Ms Pali’s home features an 800-bottle wine cellar, a lift, pool and spa, five-car garage and basement entertainment area with a bar decorated with Brazil-mined Blue Roma Quartzite.

The house’s gardens were designed by well-known landscape architect Jack Merlo.

26 brown onyx slabs were imported and used as a building material throughout the house, including in the 6m-long kitchen benchtop.

Earlier this year, the residence was listed with a $11m-$12m asking range before being taken off the market and relisted for $9.45m-$10.395m.

The basement entertaining space is fitted with a custom bar, 3D Versace wallpaper and a home theatre system.

Industry sources indicated the impressive property sold in the vicinity of $10m this week, with DOW Real Estate managing director Taylor Dow and Kay & Burton Bayside director Matthew Pillios overseeing the listing.

Mr Pillios described the six-bedroom abode as “a masterclass in luxury”.

“Zana and Gianni created a home than didn’t compromise on anything, he said.

“From custom-made bronze doors, a walk-in wine cellar, sunken lounge and the basement ‘nightclub’ — this home has it all.”

Other features include CCTV, a video intercom, powder room with a back-lit onyx vanity and a basement five-car garage.

The basement nightclub also hosts a pool table.

Mr Dow said the house received multiple buyer offers and attracted a lot of international interest, but ended up selling to an Australian-based buyer who is planning to live there.

In addition, Mr Dow said that the sale showed confidence in the market, at a time when several Greater Melbourne homes with $10m+ price tags have remained unsold for significant time periods.

“It shows that good properties in good suburbs continue to transact,” he said.
