A mining richlister has sold his ‘unreal estate’ with two helipads, three motocross tracks, an office building and a luxury house for a surprising sum close to the CBD.
Oil, gas and mining millionaire Troy Williams of the former Easternwell – which has now become listed drilling and wells company Ventia – sold off his sprawling 61hectare-plus estate 20km from Brisbane CBD for $900,000 more than he paid in 2016.

The sale figure was put at $8.1m eight years after he paid hospitality millionaire Paul Comiskey $7.2m for the large Brisbane estate, which includes grazing land for cattle and every modcon a down-to-earth richlister can imagine.
The Comiskeys had built up the property alongside the growth of their renowned family hospitality success with several hotels and pubs under their wing including the popular Sandstone Hotel in Brisbane’s north.
The 152 acre estate, listed as 1 Parkside Lane, Bald Hills and called Cloverleigh Farm, comes with a five bedroom main residence with infinity pool and tennis court, its own helicopter hangar and two helipads, as well as two well-equipped machinery sheds – one of which has a two-unit self-contained flat attached. There are also 10 horse and cattle yards, as well as steel stock yards, a floating pontoon, boat ramp and boat shed.
The main house also has a media room with projector, wood fireplace, commercial BBQ and fridges in the outdoor entertainment area.
The estate sits on the riverfront, and is also just a 12-minute drive from Sandgate beach, and a 40 minute drive from Brisbane city centre.
Agents Patrick Mackinnon and Drew Davies of Place Ascot described the estate as prime grazing river flats where there are fenced paddocks currently holding 36 cows, as well as areas of elevated, flood-free land including where the residence and office building are located.
In the ultimate work from home opportunity, “the commercial office space spans 248sqm, including a reception area, boardroom, meeting room, open-plan workspace, private offices, staff kitchen, male and female amenities, and 14 covered car parks”.
