Add CategoryFormer Hillsong Church pastors Joel and Julia A’Bell have offloaded their designer Gold Coast home in a hushed multimillion-dollar deal.
The high-profile church couple secured the contemporary beachside home for $2.75m in November 2022, with the sale settled in April last year once the build was completed.
They were chasing $2.95m for the luxury duplex in the sought-after southern Gold Coast pocket of Palm Beach when it first listed in May.

Coastal agent Sean Lewis negotiated the off-market sale last week, but the price remained undisclosed.
The A’Bells left their roles as senior pastors in 2019 after 19 years with the Hillsong mega-church in Sydney, once counting former prime minister Scott Morrison among their congregation.
They started their own church called Revitalise, but now serve as regional leaders for the Christian charity, Convoy of Hope.

Features of the stunning Palm Beach home include 323 sqm of open-plan living spaces over two levels, with light-toned finishes of stone and timber.
There are four bedrooms, all with ensuites, including a lavish upstairs master bedroom with private balcony and a spa-like bathroom with a free-standing tub and double shower.
Curved walls and custom cabinetry complete the sophisticated coastal-inspired design, while there’s also a covered al fresco entertaining terrace overlooking the pool.

The home was described in Mr Lewis’ listing as: “A masterclass in modern luxury”.
