Located in the circa-1886 Leicester House, the New York-inspired warehouse conversion

The owners asked Bromley if he would complete a commission in the bedroom which resulted in the walls being adorned by a painting of naked women, a rabbit, birds, an elephant and flowers.
Known for his Female Nudes series, among other works, Bromley is a six-time Archibald Prize finalist who has painted portraits of singer Kylie Minogue, actor Hugo Weaving, models Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Miranda Kerr and Megan Gale, cook and television presenter Poh Ling Yeow and film director Scott Hicks.
With his wife Yuge Yu, he owns Bromley & Co, which has both galleries and stores in Australia and China.
Another pad currently on the market with its own Bromley mural is the painter’s former house at 55 Blessington St, St Kilda, where the dining room’s walls are adorned by artwork including a naked woman.
Ms Inglis said the Blight Place apartment’s mural was “a point of intrigue” among many buyers who had inspected the one-bedroom apartment, mostly would-be owner-occupiers.
The bedroom also features a bed that was custom-made to fit its curved wall.
Taking up 75sq m, the residence boasts an industrial-style European kitchen, large built-in wardrobes in the bedroom and views across Flinders Lane, including The Sebel Melbourne hotel and Customs House, home to the Immigration Museum.
Ms Inglis said there was also a garage car park available to the owner.
She described the abode as a “quintessential warehouse conversion” that has a “moody and sexy” feel to it.
Leicester House is a brick and bluestone former warehouse building that contains 19 residences.
Ms Inglis said the apartments’ owners initially used the property as their city base before renting it out to a long-term tenant for $810 per week.
Expressions of interest close at midday on October 18.
