Ms Bourne said the buyer hadn’t actually stepped inside the property, but was impressed by the photos.

“It’s a brand-new, high-quality build, Ms Bourne said.

“The sellers planned to stay long-term, but with a chance to be closer to their growing family and splitting their year between Australia and the Greek islands, they decided to make the move.”

“We had two bidders pre-registered, and two more jumped in on auction day – one hadn’t even seen the house and ended up being the eventual buyer.

“The photos alone wowed him into bidding.”

Among the other sales was 6/411 Golden Four Drive, Tugun, which sold for $1.575m, 6 Elizabeth Cres, Varsity Lakes ($1.575m) and 12 Ballidu Close, Elanora ($1.45m).

Ray White Queensland chief auctioneer Gavin Croft oversaw the bidding and said the Gold Coast market was spoiled for choice with apartments, entry level homes and luxury homes.

“It was a day where buyers at all levels were well catered for, and the competition was fierce across all price points,” Mr Croft said.

“We saw strong engagement throughout the day, ultimately achieving a 60 per cent clearance rate.

“This success was bolstered by the participation of over 200 active bidders, while more than 2,000 people followed the auctions either in-room or online, reflecting the broad interest in the market.
