A Port Elliot property allows you to get back to nature in style in the heart of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.
Peter and Carolyn Meznar bought the property in 2000, as a getaway and a place to unwind from the rigours of running their Gawler-based business, converting some existing hay sheds on the property into a picture-perfect cabin.

It was a place they enjoyed as a holiday destination until 2016, when they decided to call the picturesque property home.
“I had a friend who was a tradie and we worked on it together and it was something that evolved over the build – we really designed it to capture those views and also really give it that inside-out kind of feel,” Mr Meznar says.
“As soon as you drive up the driveway you get a feeling of instant relaxation.
“We’ve had Christmas get-togethers here and one year there were tents everywhere and a caravan out the back and the grandkids particularly absolutely loved it.”
The home has an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a laundry.
Outside you’ll find a 4mx 10.6m shed, and another shed/open barn measuring 21.5m x 14.1m.
It sits on a 26.3ha allotment with a bore, 93000L of rainwater storage and five dams.
Mr Meznar said the home could easily be extended or someone could build their dream home on the property.
“We’re incredibly proud of it,” he says.
“We’ve put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it, and it’s time now for someone else to enjoy it.”
