Our favourite rooms of the season
- Both of Courtney and Grant’s bathrooms – guest and ensuite – with their large-format marble, brushed-brass hardware and sand-coloured tiles.
- Kylie and Brad’s kitchen, dining and lounge – sleek, functional, perfection.
- Kristian and Mimi’s main bedroom – burnt orange and chocolate are a match made in heaven.
- Maddy and Charlotte’s rumpus was a stroke of genius. By changing the window to a door, they opened up the opportunity for a buyer to create a separate guest wing of the home.
- And, as a Mum of two small kids, I personally cannot go past Ricky and Haydn’s guest bedroom and laundry. Form? Tick. Function? Big tick.

Who won The Block auction last year?
Last year’s winners set a record for prize money won on the show, when Adrian Portelli bought the home they renovated.
Steph & Gian from House 4 on the Charming Street, Hampton East season of The Block took home $1.65 million plus the $100,000 prize money for the winning home.
For this year’s contestants to walk away with that amount of money, their homes would need to sell for almost double the lower end of the price guides.
What will The Block properties sell for at auction?
Still, contestants that year walked away with some big money – $425,000 for 5th place all the way up to $715,000 plus $100,000 for the winners.
