The New York Post reports, cameras have also been in and out of the building — and the penthouse — recently to film the second season of “Owning Manhattan,” the hit Netflix series starring Ryan Serhant and his crew of top brokers.
The dwelling is now asking $34.99 million, down from its $38 million ask last year.
The apartment is on the 49th and 50th floors of 200 Amsterdam on the Upper West Side. The 52-story tower, between West 69th and West 70th streets, is the tallest in the area.
It’s also the most controversial.
After local activists challenged the building’s height, which is out of whack with the neighbourhood — claiming developers used a zoning loophole to build higher than allowed — a judge ordered developers SJP Properties and Mitsui Fudosan America to chop 20 stories off the structure. The ruling was overturned by a New York State appeals court in 2021.
