Think you can’t buy a home in SA for under $100,000?
Think again.
According to realestate.com.au, there are 20 properties for sale across South Australia with an advertised listed asking price of less than $100,000.

We say across South Australia … 14 of them are in Coober Pedy, four are in Andamooka, one is in Wudinna and the other is in Punyelroo.
So what can you get for less than $100,000?
Well, believe it or not, you can actually get a reasonably nice place. Albeit, a humble one.
In the case of Unit 11 Richards Ave, Wudinna, you can get an airconditioned two-bedroom leasehold retirement unit close to a park and a medical centre. That one’s $70,000.
Then there’s a fully furnished single-bedroom cabin – Cabin D10, to be precise – opposite the cliffs of the Murray River in the Punyelroo Caravan Parn. That one will set you back $62,000.
That’s one side of the spectrum. That’s the good.
Then there’s the bad, which includes a vandalised Coober Pedy home with destroyed internal walls. That one will set you back just $42,000.
So without further ado, here are SA’s bargain buys under $100,000.

The sellers have used those bedroom and bathroom qualifiers fairly loosely here as almost all of the internal walls have been vandalised to the point they’re barely there. Your best bet here is to gut it and start again. The good news is most of the hard work in that regard has been done for you.

Advertised as ‘Big Red’ this is a large shed with a dirt floor, a caravan and a toilet in it. There’s not a whole lot more to be said about this one. It’s a shed on a big block with a caravan in it.
