Australia has not lost in its last seven Tests in Adelaide.

Last time India were here, they were steam rolled for 36.

A positive omen for Australia perhaps.

Although their aura of invincibility in pink ball Tests was ended by the West Indies last time out.

Can the Aussies hit back?

Former Australia coach Darren Lehmann is speaking on ABC Radio.

He says that there's no need to panic.

"To not panic is the key now," he says.

"We can say all these people are under scrutiny. World class players, you've got to give them time.

"If it happens again in Adelaide, then it's a concern.

"I'm pretty confident they will bounce back. They've got to figure out how to play Bumrah."

Here's more from Pat Cummins on ABC Radio.

"Anything we tried, it didn't really come off," he says.

"It wasn't meant to be."

Cummins has also addressed the body language, with plenty of commentators describing the Aussies as flat yesterday.

"People can think that. I was out there and I felt it and I'm happy with how we went about it," he says.

He also addressed Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith's form.

"That's professional sport. We've all gone through patches where things aren't falling your way. Those two guys are putting in the hours in the nets and having the right conversations," he says.

"They're two champions and I'm sure they'll bounce back.

"I'm not a selector, but I'd be surprised if we made any big changes.

"I'm really confident that these are the best 11 guys. It's a sample size of one this summer."

As for any differing viewpoints between the batters and bowlers?

"We look after each other," he says.

"There's plenty of matches where the batters drag us out of sticky situations and vice versa.

"We challenge each other when we need to be challenged."

Here is the Indian skipper.

"We were put under pressure in the first innings," Bumrah says.

"But the way we came back. I am very proud.

"We were really well prepared.

"I was just telling everyone to have faith in their process and ability because over here, we have an opportunity to do something special.

"On a given day, experience does matter, but if you have faith in your ability you can do something special."

He pays credit to Jaiswal, whose big century helped set up the victory.

"We can't ask for anything else, [from] Jaiswal," he says.

"That was probably his best innings so far, because he left the ball well. He's an attacking player but he batted long."

Pat Cummins has to be dragged away from a chat with Jasprit Bumrah.

"Yeah, fairly disappointing," Cummins says.

"We thought our prep leading in was very good.

"One of those games where not much went right."

He says the long delay between the first and second Test "is what it is."

"You always want to get back on the horse pretty quickly, but we'll have a couple of days rest.

"We didn't really give ourselves a chance in a couple of different facets.

"There's a few different areas we need to clean up.

"There's a lot of experience there. I think they're going about their work pretty well."

Might be worth mentioning that's two home Test defeats in a row for Australia...

The Adelaide Test is next, with the teams set for 10 days off before they lock horns again.

A dominant win in the West for India.

Having been bowled out for 150 in the first innings, India have absolutely crushed Australia.

It's as dominant a victory as they could have ever dreamed of.

That is a peach of a slower ball, Carey was aware it was through him the moment he played the shot too early.

That takes extraordinary skill from Rana - a brilliant, brilliant way to end the match.

Carey goes for 38.

BANG! Now Carey is struck on the body. That ball didn't get up at all and Carey, as he ducked, got hit on the ribs. That's a nasty one. Rana checks on Carey afterwards. He is nice after he's clobbered you, to be fair.

Carey pulls a short one to fine leg, no single taken.

Carey pulls through midwicket for a couple of runs, this slow outfield sucking all the speed out of the ball as it rolls across it.

Carey cuts out to deep backward point, but they don't take a run.

Carey takes a step and defends. KL Rahul shows off his football skills, chipping the ball up off the ground via a couple of touches with each boot.

BIG APPEAL! Carey is struck on the pad, looked outside the line to me - and there was an inside edge too.

Bat pad and a slip in place. Carey laps that ball around the corner and takes a single.

Two balls for Josh Hazlewood to handle.

There are three men in close on the leg side, bat pad, leg slip and silly midwicket.

There is an orthodox slip as well but Hazlewood plays the ball away from all of them to see out the over.

Carey defends solidly.

Bouncer from Rana, Hazlewood ducks as it flies over his shoulder.

Down the leg side, Carey does swish towards it but was never in danger of it hitting.

Good bouncer, Carey wanted to ramp it over the solitary slip, but there is a third man fine and the ball just kept following Carey as he leaned back and missed his throat by not much.

Carey drives square for a single, exposing Hazlewood to a single delivery.

Hazlewood did last almost an hour and a half in the first innings, more than all but one other batter, Mitch Starc, so he's not so delicate that he can't handle himself.

He defends the ball, which is then called as a no ball.

HIT HIM! On the helmet! Hazlewood turns his head and gets copped right on the back badge. That's gunna be a bit sore - I bet he wishes Rana hadn't overstepped the ball prior...

Rana and Kohli both go and check on Hazlewood, who says he's OK.

Half surprised by this, half not. India is not in a rush.

There are going to be a lot of close catchers in place for Hazlewood though, lots of pads being applied.

Slip, leg gully, bat pad and silly point. Hazlewood leaves outside off.

FOUR! Nicely played by Josh Hazlewood through the covers! A ball that drifts in from Sundar but is dispatched regardless.

BEATEN! Turn and bounce. One of the first we've really seen turn from Sundar. A great ball, wasted on Hazlewood.

Hazlewood is forward, hit on the pad but via an inside edge. That was close.

Josh Hazlewood is the new man in, at the non-strikers end.

BIG APPEAL! Carey is hit on the pads. There is a frantic, frenzied discussion and Bumrah relents and reviews!

It didn't look very out in real time...

Kohli was shouting "not height" during that discussion, and that might actually be the issue to be honest. It hit high on the pad as Carey got up on his toes.

Yep, too high. It's not out.

Two well-spaced slips in position. Carey pushes into the covers, pushes for a second and the throw hits Carey in the back as he dives for the line.

Carey defends solidly.

Carey clips off his pads into midwicket but there is no run taken - it would have had to be a quick one anyway but I think Carey wants to protect Hazlewood as much as possible.

Now Carey does want a single to square leg - there's not a single there though and he is sent back by Hazlewood.

The field is in, Carey pushes the ball to mid off and there is no run.

India is one away!

Lyon played for spin, there was none and Lyon's straight bat was sown the wrong line.

Off stump makes that satisfying clunking sound and the Aussies are in their death throes here.

Nathan Lyon defends solidly against his fellow spinner.

This now feels like the end is nigh soon after tea, with Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood to come.

Mitchell Starc will be devastated with that end to an impressive dig, but what can you do in the face of that sort of miraculous take?

Starc tried to clip off his pads and Jurel just stuck the right hand up at it in pure reflex, and it was just one of those ones where it just stuck in the mitt.
