With many Aussies dreaming of a beachside lifestyle, a variety of new developments are popping up in Byron Bay, offering luxe amenities and ideal coastal living.

Long known as Australia's premier beachside locale, Byron Bay continues to be a magnet for those who crave a coastal lifestyle.

During the pandemic, the coveted suburb became a buyer hotspot and over the last 12 months, the median house price has surged by 50.5%, reaching $3.5 million, according to PropTrack data

Units and apartments have seen a dip of 7%, with a median price of $1.15 million, offering buyers an opportunity to live out their beachside dreams.

Here are four new developments which capture the essence of Byron Bay’s beachside living.

Secret Garden

The development has a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments designed by BayleyWard, with curated retail featuring local and Australian hospitality, fashion and lifestyle brands.

“The project has been incredibly popular with 75% sold in just weeks,” Secret Garden sales director, Lucy Mark, said.

"Some of the best apartments in the development are still available and will sell out soon,” she adds.

The external design features a north-facing building and lush landscaping with a centrepiece courtyard. Inside, in collaboration with Island Luxe, the apartments have an authentic coastal aesthetic inspired by Byron Bay and its natural surrounds.

Secret Garden will also feature various amenities for wellness and leisure with a private rooftop pool, yoga and wellness deck, sauna and cold plunge.

Secret Garden apartments are priced from $2.475 million with construction expected to finish by March 2026.

Each apartment also features walk-in or built-in robes, with the master suite having an ensuite and private balcony access.

Residents can also enjoy a communal rooftop, gardens, a pool, outdoor kitchen and a BBQ area for entertaining.

On the ground floor, retail spaces offer added convenience.
