With many Aussies dreaming of a beachside lifestyle, a variety of new developments are popping up in Byron Bay, offering luxe amenities and ideal coastal living.
Long known as Australia's premier beachside locale, Byron Bay continues to be a magnet for those who crave a coastal lifestyle.
During the pandemic, the coveted suburb became a buyer hotspot and over the last 12 months, the median house price has surged by 50.5%, reaching $3.5 million, according to PropTrack data.
Units and apartments have seen a dip of 7%, with a median price of $1.15 million, offering buyers an opportunity to live out their beachside dreams.
Here are four new developments which capture the essence of Byron Bay’s beachside living.
Secret Garden
Nestled in the centre of Byron Bay’s Jonson Street, JD Property Group’s Secret Garden is a combination of 22 apartments offering coastal elegance.

The development has a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments designed by BayleyWard, with curated retail featuring local and Australian hospitality, fashion and lifestyle brands.
“The project has been incredibly popular with 75% sold in just weeks,” Secret Garden sales director, Lucy Mark, said.
"Some of the best apartments in the development are still available and will sell out soon,” she adds.
The external design features a north-facing building and lush landscaping with a centrepiece courtyard. Inside, in collaboration with Island Luxe, the apartments have an authentic coastal aesthetic inspired by Byron Bay and its natural surrounds.
Secret Garden will also feature various amenities for wellness and leisure with a private rooftop pool, yoga and wellness deck, sauna and cold plunge.
Secret Garden apartments are priced from $2.475 million with construction expected to finish by March 2026.
MARÉ
A stone’s throw from Byron Bay’s main beach is MARÉ by Pacifico Property, a collection of eight three-bedroom apartments.

Bohemian

Inside the two- and three-bedroom apartments designed by Coco Republic, residents will be wowed by a neutral colour palette with timber floors, stone and porcelain tiling, bespoke joinery and decorative feature lighting giving a luxe hotel feel.
Each apartment also has open-planned living and entertainer kitchens with engineered stone benchtops and V-ZUG appliances.
Selected apartments will also have private rooftop terraces complete with landscaped gardens.
Outside, residents have access to a rooftop pool, outdoor gym and sauna for relaxing and entertaining. There will also be ground floor retail and hospitality offerings with a lane of various food and beverage spaces inspired by Spice Alley in Sydney's Chippendale.
Construction on Bohemian is expected to finish in 2026.
Harvest Estate

Set on 150 acres 3.5km from Bryon Bay’s town centre, Harvest Estate has over 50,000sqm of open space, bike paths, walking tracks, gardens and a community centre, which will feature communal facilities for social and community gatherings.
The site will also see the conservation of 38.4 hectares of existing vegetation, including 2.9 ha of existing frog habitat and 11.76ha for environmental rehabilitation.
