Australia’s most famous PR queen, Roxy Jacenko, is “over Singapore” and back looking at $18m Sydney mansions with mum Doreen in tow.

Having sensationally quit the Harbour City in mid-2023 to join husband Oliver Curtis in Singapore where his tech start-up has been based, top agents say the family is now ready to return home.

Last month, she revealed she was returning to PR, having closed her Sweaty Betty office two years ago.

And now she’s back on the home hunt, with one of the luxury residences she’s most interested in a six-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion with swimming pool at Wentworth Rd, Vaucluse, which has an $18m price guide via Bradfield Badgerfox principal Peter Leipnik and Alexander George.

When contacted, Leipnik confirmed Jacenko had visited the property three times, most recently with her mother and was now doing her due diligence.

That’s a sure sign that she’s keen, which is the usual step before making an offer.

“Roxy loves it, the security, the land size and the separate nanny quarters,” Leipnik said.

“She’s used to having a nanny after being in Singapore.

“And she says she loves that it’s close by Shark Beach at Nielsen Park, which is finally going to open in coming months.”

The stunning two-level home with double garage, described as offering “a retreat-like ambience with lush leafy views”, is on a 1041 sqm block, only a three-minute drive from the Hopetoun Ave, Vaucluse home she sold for $16m, $2m more than the price guide, in May, 2023.

She’d spent about $2m on renovations with designer Blainey North on the five-bedroom home with five bathrooms and a double garage, which was on a considerably smaller 575 sqm block than the one she’s now contemplating.

It last traded for $15m in May 2022.

Roxy’s latest plan is quite a turnaround, with reports from just six months ago indicating she was loving her new life in Singapore with Curtis and their two kids – daughter Pixie, 12, and son Hunter, nine.

The Wentworth Rd home is in the name of Robin Hadiprodjo, who paid $15m in May 2022 for the home that was built in 2005.

Jacenko has a nack for buying good property, and this one looks to have the goods.

It’s north-facing, which means plenty of natural light, and is set back from the street.

It’s also architecturally designed by Virginia Kerridge.

At its heart, the home features an open-plan kitchen and living area.

The gourmet kitchen, finished to the highest standards, showcases a Carrara marble island with an integrated breakfast bar, complemented by Smeg and stainless steel Miele appliances.
