Naked Reality Show - There's a awesome reality show on the horizon, and it is a naturist one! The show's producers are currently looking for 7 people totally new to nudism to go live and work various occupations at Caliente Nudist Resort in Land O' Lakes, Florida. They're calling it "The Nak'd Truth."
For one month, these people will need to be nude for the whole time on camera, and producer Harris Salomon says he wants to "explore how clothing links to interpersonal relationships and status." All private parts will be blurred. The idea apparently came out of Jersey Shore because Salomon wanted to take it up a notch with that show.

As exciting as this could be for nudists to get some attention and press, there are a few things that irritate me relating to this. First, it is at Caliente, the "young-person" resort. It is extremely modern place with lots of fine facilities, i.e. a fitness center, several pools, a waterfall, a restaurant and pub, etc. It looks nice for a resort, and it's certainly gratifying to many. Nevertheless, I've visited Caliente multiple times, and
A) I haven't seen that many young 20-somethings there
B) they're infamously known for their swinger bunches
C) If you need a notion of what kind of atmosphere is there, they have stripper posts in the pub space
D) AANR doesn't accept them as a valid nudist resort.
E) I Have also personally seen improper conduct of guys touching their wives' breasts in a sexual manner, which is conduct that they attempt to stop.
Yet everyone understands that for reality shows, what matters is getting audience, not always depicting reality. At the same time, individuals can still view Jersey Shore and think a lot of people from New Jersey are obnoxious guidos / guidettes whose days contain gym, tanning, and laundry. So, it's smart for them to select the charged atmosphere of Caliente for a wild area that'll probably result in a popular show. But this may not go so well for the image of naturism and naturists , which these folks will signify. And if he really has "Jersey Shore" in mind, and it's any resemblance to it, I'm actually frightened of what is to come. Caliente has had reality tv there before with Paris Hilton, has anyone seen that? (I missed it, sadly.)
In any case, what we can hope is that the people they pick for the show will acclimate well to nudism and signify all of us absolutely!
