Kylle Godfrey is serving a three-year prison term for attacking his partner over several days in October 2016.

It is understood Mr Godfrey banged the woman’s head on the floor and strangled her, leaving her with head injuries.

By order of the court, Mr Godfrey will now be required to inform authorities if he is dating someone for more than two weeks.

While out on bail ahead of his court appearance in February, Mr Godfrey continued to intimidate his partner — as well as assaulting another women he was dating.

The 30-year-old man from Neasden, north west London, was charged with two counts of actual bodily harm, perverting the course of justice and witness intimidation.

Jane Topping, from the Hackney Community Safety Unit, supported the order, saying it provided a new way for authorities to protect victims of domestic abuse.

“This order gives us a new way of protecting victims of domestic abuse and prevent other women from suffering at the hands of people like Godfrey, and help our efforts to tackle domestic violence,” she told The Telegraph.

“The victim in Godfrey’s case was subjected to a horrendous ordeal by him following a sustained campaign of domestic violence.

“She has shown incredible bravery in supporting our investigation, and I hope she feels safer now Godfrey is behind bars and will be subject to closer scrutiny.”

The order, which will last for seven years, hopes to help tackle domestic violence.
