Mount Louisa is hot property among renters with the suburb being the most in-demand area in Townsville.

New data released by realestate.com.au shows that rental listings in Mount Louisa were clicked on more than any other suburb in Townsville.

A rental listing in the suburb was clicked on 2265 times on average while the median weekly rent in Mount Louisa is $4350.

Townsville residents Danny Barlow and Josh Millar moved into a Mount Louisa rental three months ago and both agreed it was a great suburb to live in.

Mr Millar said Mount Louisa felt safe, they lived in a good neighbourhood, and it was central to most of Townsville.

“The neighbours are really friendly and it’s really central to the ships while also not being too far from the city,” he said.

“Mount Louisa has a pretty good reputation and you don’t hear about too much crime going on here.

“You’re really close to a lot of shops and with the motorway it cuts out a lot of time.”

The data, which analysed property listing in the six months up to December 31, 2018 show that Bushland Beach was the second most in demand suburb with 2157 views on average.

Properties there fetch a median rent of $350 per week.

Burdell cam in third with 2146 views followed by Oonoonba with 1949 views and West End with 1914 views.
