Last week saw the final clearance rate hold above 50 per cent for the second week in a row across the combined capital cities with 1,450 homes taken to auction, returning a final clearance rate of 51.2 per cent.

This weekend CoreLogic is tracking 2,156 auctions nationally, up from 1,450 last week. The same week last year was much busier with 3,313 homes taken to auction.

Melbourne is expected to be the busiest city for auctions this week, with 1,049 auctions, Sydney has 763 auctions scheduled.

Across the smaller auction markets, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra will see auction volumes rise over the week while Perth and Tasmania will see fewer homes taken to auction week-on-week.
