Both teams made the decision to call off the third Test at Hagley Oval, which was scheduled to start at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of those affected by the shocking situation in Christchurch,” the New Zealand cricket team said. “A joint decision between NZC and the BCB has been made to cancel the Hagley Oval Test. Again both teams and support staff groups are safe.”
