Police have seized about 900 items of jewellery, suspected of being stolen, after carrying out a search warrant in the heart of the city.

Perth Detectives executed the warrant at a second-hand jewellery store in an arcade off Hay Street on April 2.

They found rings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings, watches and charms together worth more than $200,000.

An extendable baton was also found at the arcade shop.
