Attacker remains on run after Sydney stabbing attack

A man who stabbed an elderly patron at an inner Sydney hotel remains on the run.

The attacker stabbed an 82-year-old man in the chest at a hotel on Henderson Rd, Alexandria, before 3pm on Saturday, and fled.

It's understood the men knew each other.

The elderly man was taken to hospital and remains in a serious condition.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
