Moore will have to complete the two training sessions this week and next week at good intensity to prove his fitness.
The query will not be on whether Moore has an injury but whether he has confidence in his body, and whether Collingwood has confidence in him to be able to get through a full game.
Matt Scharenberg will be fit to play after suffering concussion on Friday night. The defender was at the club on Saturday and has reported no ongoing ill effects.
Collingwood will welcome back three star players in Steele Sidebottom, who missed last week due to surgery to repair a ruptured testicle, Jordan De Goey, who has recovered from a hamstring strain, and Jaidyn Stephenson, who returns from his ten-game ban for betting after playing well in the VFL on Saturday.
The question of who comes out of the side will be vexed. If Moore plays then the small forwards – Travis Varcoe, Callum Brown and Josh Thomas – in particular are under pressure to retain their positions.
Midfielder Rupert Wills is on the fringe but he appeals to the match committee because his size and strength around the ball make him a point of difference to the other midfielders, even if his running and spread is not on a par with them.
Small defender John Noble has only played a handful games but his pace and ball use appeals.
