Stackorama! follows Coggins to the World Sport Stacking Championships in 2018 and it also goes into his back story – a shy kid who struggled with his fine-motor skills until he discovered stacking and its worldwide community. Jaydyn does have autism but thankfully the documentary doesn’t focus on this as his defining quality.

The documentary stumbles with its introduction of a villain – Coach Ty. These kinds of stories need tension, and it’s clear Coach Ty’s actions upset the Coggins family, but the way it is depicted, complete with ominous music, suggests something much more heinous has occurred.

Stackorama! wouldn’t have been any less if it had excluded much of Coach Ty’s plotline and instead concentrated on the camaraderie between the players, the over-enthusiastic coaches and the stories of some of the other kids. That’s what I wanted to see more of.

Regardless, Stackorama! has found a true star in Jaydyn and his family, including stepdad Adam, who is so quiet as to nearly disappear altogether. They are a functional, loving unit, which you don’t always get to see in documentaries such as these.

Stackorama! airs on ABC Plus, Wednesday, March 31, 8.45pm
