Developer and former North Queensland Cowboys chairman Laurence Lancini has bought a riverfront apartment in Teneriffe, Brisbane’s most expensive suburb.
The founder of Lancini Property Group, which started out as a residential construction company in Townsville over three decades ago before expanding throughout Queensland, purchased the third level residence on June 1.
Once known as Mr Townsville, Lancini made the move to Brisbane, where his company has its headquarters.

But property records show Lancini still has two properties in Townsville, a luxury house on the Gold Coast and a property home at Maleny.
Lancini’s latest acquisition is a luxurious apartment with unobstructed river views which they bought for $3.85 million.
The one-level apartment flows seamlessly from inside to a large riverfront balcony with a built-in barbecue.
Inside there is a designer kitchen, open plan living and dining area, three large bedrooms including a lavish master suite with a walk-in wardrobe, ensuite and private balcony, a home office, video intercom, multi-function Cbus lighting system, ducted airconditioning and direct lift access.
Shared resort-style amenities include a gym, on-site management and both a lap and relaxation pool surrounded by private grounds.

Pet friendly, the complex also offers secure parking accommodation for two cars, and the potential to purchase a boat mooring within the private, residents only marina.
The luxe digs are within an easy walk of the head office for Lancini Property Group.
It was sold by Place New Farm agents Judy Goodger and Matthew Foote.
Lancini retired from his Cowboy’s role in March last year after 17 years at the helm.
During his tenure, he watched on as the Cowboys won their first premiership, and as Queensland Country Bank Stadium and NRL Cowboys House were completed.
His development company was behind some of Townsville’s most recognisable retail precincts, including Fairfield Central, City Lane and City Arcade, and the eco-friendly 420 on Flinders commercial tower, which was custom-built for Ergon.
