Stefon Bertram, of Belle Property Mosman, said the five-bedroom home has been owned by a family of per lovers for about 20 years. Among the menagerie have been four dogs, two macaws, three lorikeets and two water dragons.

Much of the house is in original condition, but it is the location that is attracting most of the attention. Mr Bertram said properties of this size so close to the beach rarely came up for sale.

He said many potential buyers were looking to do a knockdown-rebuild, although there were some who were considering a major renovation of the existing house.

“It is an amazing location and it’s a solid home,” Mr Bertram said.
