HTL Property advised on the sales of the two mid-coast pubs, and together with their recent sale of the Gambaro Hotel in Brisbane for around $25 million and Sydney’s Strathfield Hotel for $80 million, has bumped up the firm’s overall sales to more than $800 million since the start of 2022.
HTL Property managing director Andrew Jolliffe and national director, Dan Dragicevich said national pub sales will reach up to $2 billion as demand for the sector is unwavering.
“We’re passionate about creating and protecting wealth for our valued clients, and as evidenced by our recent national market activity, the asset class remains positively underwritten by robust and attractive fundamentals,” Jolliffe said.
Dragicevich said the Tacking Point Tavern ticks all the investment fundamental boxes that large-format hoteliers gravitate towards, being efficient tavern-style reconfiguration, on-site parking and located adjacent to a busy retail precinct.

“In addition to our Lasseters Casino and Crown Plaza accommodation operation, the five asset roll up provides additional scale, and a clear platform to leverage human resource strategies and other synergies required to prosecute the high-quality hospitality experience we are determined to deliver our clients in Australia’s Northern Territory,” Arnaout said.
“We have worked closely with Sam and his team over a number of years to deliver upon these growth strategy objectives, and feel confident the five hotel assets acquired will benefit from both the expertise and strategic capital he plans to deploy,” HTL Property director Brent McCarthy said.
