Let's keep that gold-medal energy shall we?

Two times Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Jess Stenson has traded up to claim a well deserved gold medal!

She beat Kenya's Margaret Wangari Muriuki by 29 seconds. Namibian runner Helalia Johannes came third to win bronze.

Eloise Wellings and Sinead Diver finished fourth and fifth.

There was heartbreak for Liam Adams though, who missed a medal by just 7 seconds.

However, Adams, who is a sparky by trade, working 40-hour weeks, put his effort into perspective afterwards.
