Property records show the five bedroom house at 17 Thompson St, Mosman was purchased by Mr Orgill and his partner in 2015 for $5,275,000 – about two years after he made headlines by refusing to voluntarily resign after the government asked the entire NBN Co. board to stand down.

Shortly after he was sacked, Mr Orgill penned an opinion piece in the Australian Financial Review in which he described aspects of the rollout as “dysfunctional” and spoke of his “weariness at politics overshadowing fair process.”

The luxe house has now been listed for sale by auction through Ray White Lower North Shore.
Selling agent Geoff Smith said the property’s layout and location were standout features.
“It’s got a spectacular view – you see the city, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House,” Mr Smith said.
“It also has a really good quality fit out.”
