A rare chance to reside at one of Queensland’s most exclusive island addresses, in a landmark home to boot, is attracting keen interest from local, interstate, and overseas buyers.

The award-winning property at 15 Minyama Island in Minyama is one of just 22 abodes within the highly coveted waterfront haven, which is located on the Sunshine Coast.

The grand five-bedroom, five-bathroom, two-storey home encompasses 510sqm of living space across an impressive 1500sqm block, with a rare 32m river frontage.

The property, more akin to a luxury hotel, presents ‘as new’ thanks to a substantial multi-million-dollar refurbishment, which took almost two years to complete.

There are several living and dining areas, in addition to multiple courtyards, balconies, and patios, which capitalise on the water views.

The bespoke luxury kitchen has its own spacious butler’s pantry and is packed with top of the range appliances as well as marble surfaces.

Selling agent Jordan Lund, managing director of Elite Lifestyle Properties - Sunshine Coast, said the property is one of just 12 north-facing residences on the island.

“It’s private, its exclusive, and its north to water,” Mr Lund said.

“It has large frontage, so you could have quite a large boat, and you literally drive out to the middle of the river to the ocean.”

The prized location is so exclusive that Mr Lund has sold three homes on the island over the past couple of years.

“They don’t come up too often, especially on the north facing side of the island. Now, there is nothing that I can see that will be coming onto the market anytime soon either.

“So it’s probably the last opportunity to get something of that size for quite some time.”

Other features of the residence include a home theatre with its own bar, a three-car garage, French Oak Parquetry flooring, a custom designed dressing room, and a bath and shower in the ensuite with views to the river.

There are two plush guest wings, and each have their own private balconies.

The private businessman owner is selling as he is moving back to Brisbane to be closer to family.

Mr Lund would not be drawn on the property’s asking price but said 9 Minyama Island, which also underwent a refurbishment, sold for $12 million earlier this year.

“Interest has been substantial,” he said.

“We’ve already got a couple of people expressing interest and we’ve got both local, interstate and interest from overseas. Likewise, every time you list property on Minyama Island it’s pretty incredible to see how much interest there is.”
