The home of a financial services executive has been listed with a price guide of $15.5m – more than double what it was purchased for six years ago.
Records show executive chairman of Oxygen Capital Group, parent company of Oxygen Home Loans, Doc Klotz purchased the house with his wife Laura for $7,700,000 in 2016, before adding a self contained apartment and several luxury features.
2 Carrington Ave, Bellevue Hills is for sale.
It was the sheer space on offer that attracted the couple to purchase the classic Bellevue Hill house designed by architect Michael Suttor.

Art Deco treasure hosted many famous guests
Back in 2016, Mr Klotz and his wife were looking for a home to raise their two boys and hold many a soiree – and the three storey house at 2 Carrington Ave proved a perfect match.
It has hosted many grand parties.
Ms Klotz said some of her fondest memories included her husband’s 50th birthday, an indoor and outdoor event with up to 60 guests, and the birthdays of her teenage boys – strictly outdoor events with as many as 90 kids.
“It’s really spacious and well thought out,” Ms Klotz said.
“The indoor/outdoor set up has been fantastic.”
The house is in a sought after neighbourhood.
The well designed kitchen is another favourite for Ms Klotz – something she has improved further by adding a second sink with filtered water and an ice machine.
Shortly after purchasing, the couple converted the downstairs rumpus room into a self-contained apartment with a full kitchen and bathroom.
They also glammed up a cabana bathroom with mother of pearl tiles and added an additional laundry room.
A grand staircase is a central feature.
Selling agent Ashley Bierman said not only was the house in a sought after locale in Bellevue Hill’s “Consular belt”, its design showcased the providence of the architect.
“It’s a stunning example of his work,” Mr Bierman said.
A circular staircase makes a striking impression in the centre of the house.
Tallowwood parquetry flooring flows across the ground level to a formal living room with a fireplace and a formal dining room.
It has two levels of outdoor entertainment space.
A family room and breakfast space flows from the kitchen on the other side of the stairs.
The kitchen includes a double Gaggenau oven and two dishwashers as well as a butler’s pantry.
Upstairs, three bedrooms each have walk-in wardrobes while the lower level apartment includes a wine cellar.
Plenty of room for parties indoors.
Other features include a gas heated swimming pool and harbour views from the main bedroom.
The house is a short walk to sought after schools Scots College and Cranbrook.
The property is scheduled to go to auction September 15.
There are five bedrooms in total.
