Their sons William and Michael are project managers with the business.

But Michael is also a multi-award-winning composer whose works have been performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and international orchestras.

He is founder and artistic director of the Melbourne Metropolitan Sinfonietta which is dedicated to promoting Australian composers’ music.

Michael is writing a composition for the home, the first built in RUUHM’s “Symphony” project of 100 homes inspired by the idea that “architecture is frozen music”.

“We would like to give the score to the new owner, with the house,” Mr Bakrnchev.

The home’s build was completed in June.

Mr Bakrnchev and his wife live there with their 15-year-old Maltese Shih tzu dog but have decided to sell as the house is simply too big for the three of them.

Mr Bakrnchev said their friends and relatives had dubbed the home “The Entertainer”.

The gas-heated, glass-tiled pool, known as “the party pool”, is surrounded by a bar ledge to stand drinks on.

The pool’s lights change colours too.

“At 1.55m deep, it’s good for a dip all year round,” Mr Bakrnchev said.

The main bedroom has a balcony.

The alfresco area has a “sculptural” barbecue bench and the Gaggenau-fitted kitchen includes a bar, wine cabinet, double Liebherr fridge and butler’s pantry with an Asko dishwasher.

“Three-metre tall sliding glass doors open all the area up, allowing a seamless transition between the alfresco and kitchen and dining area,” Mr Bakrnchev added.

The landscaped garden is irrigated and can be lit up at night.

The pool looks onto the garage, allowing guests to enjoy a view of the owners’ cars through a picture window.

“I put a very large window into the garage wall looking out to the pool, it would suit a car collector or perhaps an artist who would like to paint in there,” Mr Bakrnchev said.

“A four-car garage is very rare this close to the centre of Church St, there is no basement, you just drive straight in and out from Chavasse St.”

The impressive home’s other highlights include a curvaceous facade, handcrafted stonework, marble benchtops and tiles, Nordic Oak flooring and a floating oak staircase next to 6m-tall windows.

A home office with separate entry, a marble-wrapped ensuite for every bedroom, a balcony in the main bedroom, a Legrande smart home system, zoned climate-control and Smartphone-operated video-intercom and CCTV also feature.

Mr Bakrnchev, also an author and mentor, said the house was “a walker’s paradise” located about 800m from the famous Brighton beach boxes and close to schools, shops, cafes and public transport.
