A house that was ‘Byron Bay-inspired’ has hit the market in Brisbane with an expected $4 million-plus price tag — hippie hauler not included.

Located in the so-called ‘Golden Triangle’ at the Grange, the resort-style Queenslander has been dubbed ‘Byron Bay in Brisbane’, and has been transformed from a single level 1950s house into a two-level statement home with a Calile Hotel-inspired pool.

Its Instagram page ‘byron.in.brisbane’ has over 5700 followers.

Cairns clanger fetches $391,000 at auction

Candice Silver with sons Asher, 10, and Levi, 7 at 113 Evelyn St, Grange

It was transformed by owners Candice Silver and Tom Price, a director of an electrical consultancy company who designed the home automation and other smart home systems.

It was the third project for Candice, but her first major project since completing the Three Birds design course with the famed designed trio, Three Birds Renovations.

“We bought the property about 3.5 years ago and the renovation took about 10 months,” she said.

“We always stopped in Byron on holidays when I was little an we have taken the kids a few times.

“I always liked the aesthetic as it fits with our eco and sustainability objectives.”

Ms Silver said they had renovated the house to be their forever home, but were so pleased with the result they want to see what they can do next.

The full-time mum described it as a “bit like a calling”.

The stunning revamp is being marketed by Tyson Clarke of Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty.

Perched on an 810sq m block and boasting beautiful architectural features across a 468sqm floorplan, flawless finishes combine with eco-friendly comforts.

The main living and entertaining areas boast a northern orientation for year-round natural light, polished concrete floors provide thermal mass heating and cooling and an abundance of louvred windows capture beautiful breezes.

There are five bedrooms, including a master suite with vaulted ceilings and sky-lit dressing room, while all three bathrooms have marble vanities, limestone floors, handmade wall tiles, and custom brass mirrors.

Living areas include an expansive kitchen, lounge and dining zone, which open out onto an alfresco terrace via extra-height glass stacker door.

This area overlooks the pool and low-maintenance gardens.

Other features include a media room, drive-through extra-height garage with rear parking for a boat or caravan, a heated outdoor shower, mud room, ducted and zoned airconditioning, a security system, video intercom and keypad entry, a Sonos sound system in the living and entertaining areas, a 13kW solar system, low VOC paint, mextra insulation and a full home automation accessible by smartphone.
