Family’s looking for an A-list address would be hard pressed to find a better spot than this Kew charmer that rolls out the red-brick carpet to welcome you home.

One-time Oscars guest Ingrid Goodyear bought the house in 1995 and has since extended and renovated, adding a pool and a “pretty cool” walk-in wardrobe.

While its classic weatherboard facade framed by manicured gardens still retains its old-school cool, the updates have made it a true entertainer’s home.

Something Ms Goodyear knows a bit about after a career in Kodak’s motion picture division, including working with Wally Pfister, who was a cinematographer on Batman flick The Dark Knight, helped score her a night at the Oscars in 2010.

Later on at the hairdresser she opened Who magazine and saw herself in the background of an Oscars night photo of Carey Mulligan. She also managed to photobomb Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

“My boss and I walked the red carpet three times,” she said.

The fun ended when a security guard ushered them inside.

But she remembered how to throw a party, and ushered 120 guests into the home for her daughter’s 21st birthday.
