He also had the renovation of his three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 364 Jeffreys Road, Corop, documented on 10’s Country House Lift and sits on two acres of prime vineyard land.

Collins said the more than 90-year-old farmhouse, called Annie’s Farmhouse, was named and inspired by his mother.

The living room has sprawling ceilings.

“I grew up really poor with my mum, we didn’t have much, it was always her dream to have a farmhouse … (so) I named this house after my mum,” he said.

“When I first came to the property, it was termite infested, and dead rats were everywhere. I worked hard to give the home a new lease of life.

“The only reason I am selling is to be close to Melbourne for work. I want to find another house in a satellite town, preferably a growth area like Kyneton.”

Luke Ryan Real Estate director Luke Ryan said there had been interest in the property from a wide range of buyers, with many inspecting and some making offers for the address, which comes with a mineral-based heated pool and designer gardens by Ashley James.

“The feedback we’ve had on the property has been great,” Mr Ryan said.

“Walt has done a great job, and the buyers are impressed with how he has maintained the home’s beauty and retained its heritage.

“We have many acreage properties in the area, but the level of detail with this one, the pool, it has all been done — making it quite different.”

Design expert and The Block commentator Dani Reilly’s business Manna Made oversaw the home’s interior design.
