Social enterprise Plate it Forward’s latest restaurant, Kyiv Social, is hosting a 10-course degustation to give you the feeling of sitting at a Ukrainian family table. In keeping with its philosophy, the event will contribute 200 meals to Ukrainian individuals in need in Sydney and Ukraine.

Prefer to stand up and snack your way through the night? VividPlace Food Trail is bringing the fun to the laneways around Sydney Place and Bulletin Place, which will be transformed into a bustling night market. Some of Australia’s top chefs and bartenders will be serving everything from Mi Goreng toasties to rare Japanese whisky, so you can sample an array of world flavours in a lively communal setting.

Or head towards The Goods Line for the ultimate barbie. Whether you prefer to call it a BBQ, braai, barbecue or asado, outdoor cooking on an open fire is universally beloved.
