Incredible footage and photographs from directly inside the Forrestdale fire zone have been released, as fire crews work to get on top of the blaze.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has released a series of photos and several minutes worth of vision on Friday showing brave fire crews battling huge walls of flames, whilst being surrounded by thick black smoke.

DFES usually has an incident photographer present at most major fires, capturing the drama.
