After receiving an extraordinary 1,100 nominations, the Property Council of Australia (PCA) has announced the 500 Women in Property participants for 2019.

The 500 Women in Property is an initiative of the PCA’s Diversity Committees throughout Australia and involves a personal commitment from members to champion women in their organisation who they believe would benefit from further networking and professional development opportunities.

According to The PCA, the 500 Women in Property program seeks a commitment from sponsors to host their participant at a Property Council event on at least two occasions during the program and provide them with event coaching. This enables increased experience in networking and industry knowledge. Participants work with their sponsors to identify which events would be of most interest/relevance early in the program.

Furthermore, the Property Council organises exclusive networking events for 500 Women in Property participants in their respective states to provide additional opportunities.

Savills Australia is pleased to announce the following six participants in 2019 and four participants in 2020:

2019
Marsha Santoso, Hotels Executive – NSW
Agnieszka Bik, Property Valuer – QLD,
Rebecca Taylor, Marketing Manager – QLD
Anthea Hehir, Project Manager – VIC

Paul Craig, CEO at Savills Australia and New Zealand said the initiative was imperative for the property industry and the confidence of women everywhere.

“It is our goal and our responsibility to ensure that we encourage our staff to excel in their profession. It is vital that we make sure everyone has the opportunity to further their careers and reach their personal and professional goals.

“This program has already helped so many women benefit from networking and professional development opportunities and we look forward to continuing to support this forward thinking initiative”

The program is a national one and supported by the PCA Diversity committees located in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, ACT and TAS.
