AN Edge Hill home has sold within days after the owners pulled off a last-minute makeover to give the property a fresher and more modern look.
Belle Property’s Vanessa Robinson said 28 Bellevue Cr was snapped up by a local family returning from interstate.

28 Bellevue Cr, Edge Hill before $20,000 worth of makeover work. It sold before going to market and settled within 21 days.

BEFORE: Scraped and worn floorboards.
With two children, they wanted to be central and loved the aspect and view from the home.
“The sellers purchased the property prior to me getting it on the market,” Ms Robinson said.

The sad bathroom.
“They looked at a few other places with us – a friend in common suggested they call me – I sent them the floor plan, they viewed it that night and made an offer which we negotiated and was done and dusted the following day.
“The whole sale was 21 days from go to whoa.”

Dingy bedrooms.
Ms Robinson said the sellers undertook a “massive clean up” cutting back trees to open up the view, repainting the house and pressure cleaning the outside of the house, verandas and outdoor walls.
“They also replaced light fittings, got everything back to good working order and replaced the rusted carport roof,” she said.

NOW: Freshly painted rooms.
“We replaced the vanities which had blown out, so we maintained the same size and simply replaced – there was no need to involve tilers or waterproofing. Then we styled the home and made the house a home.”
The home had been listed in 2018 for six months with no luck.

New look bathroom.
Set over two levels, the tropically inspired family home has four spacious bedrooms, multiple living spaces, a wine cellar and a fantastic timber deck and pool off the upstairs living area.
On an 897 sqm block, the home also features a striking spiral timber staircase and a large kitchen with gas cooking and servery to deck.
