A newly built Toorak mansion on one of the ritzy suburb’s most-coveted streets has scored nearly $24m in an off-market deal.

The 44-46 Hopetoun St pad sold last week for an undisclosed sum, understood to be just shy of $24m.

It made headlines earlier this year when listed through Marshall White Stonnington agency, with the home owned and constructed by Simonds family building firm, Simonds Prestige.

After failing to sell following 193 days on the market, the illustrious dwelling has now been snapped up in an off market deal — helmed by Kay & Burton South Yarra partner Grant Samuel.

Mr Samuel said the lavish home was purchased by an international family, whose son is a keen tennis player.
