Ankur and Sharon have been counting down the days to when they can leave.
In a week where the contestants have been handed a whopping $90,000 each to pay for their outdoor spaces, two teams still manage to fall out with their landscapers.
First it’s Sharon and Ankur, who fail to recognise that a good chunk of their $90,000 will have to go towards paying back the $53,000 in overspending from previous weeks.

Block teams go to war over budgets
As it stands, their outdoor area consists solely of a pool, pergola and a market garden, contrasted with other teams who are installing the likes of basketball courts, spas, flying foxes, wood-fired pizza ovens and horse paddocks.
So Ankur and Sharon decide to investigate adding a helipad to their property, much to the anger of their landscaper Tim, who vents to his colleagues.
“Do you see how much work there is to do? I’d say it’s a lot but they’re over there having a conversation about a f..king helipad. She’s just asked me on camera and said they had extra money. There’s no extra money. Everyone’s running at a loss. Why don’t you use that extra money to pay everyone?”

When Block site supervisor and builder Aidan gets wind of the plan, which would cost $20,000, he’s over to Ankur and Sharon like a shot to remind them that they still owe the show $53,000.
Sharon attempts to deflect by asking why Aidan’s team hasn’t finished their shed yet, but he points out there’s been parts of the shed ready for Ankur and Sharon to work on for days.
Then Sharon and Ankur are summoned to another dreaded meeting with Keith and Dan, who tell them they’ve just received an invoice from landscaper Tim that hadn’t been expected, meaning they’re now another $26,000 over budget.
Sharon asks if they can sell the $50,000 of wine they won in week four, then Keith notes pointedly, and not for the first time, that Ankur is an accountant.

Why the teams swarmed serial auction pest
Sharon and Ankur are incensed.
“That pissed me right off,” Ankur says. “For them to say I’m an accountant and have a bit of a laugh about it. That’s actually my livelihood.
Sharon heads off to confront Keith and Dan about their comment, breaking down in tears as she tells them calling his profession into question is uncalled for.
Ankur and Sharon are livid when Keith calls Ankur “an accountant”.
Ankur has had enough.
“Don’t worry about it. You’ve cried so much for this show. It’s not worth it. We’ve tried our best and we’ve got reamed every day for nothing. I don’t care, mate,” he says, turning his ire on Keith and Dan.
Keith apologises, but it’s not enough for Ankur.
“It’s shouldn’t be like this. No empathy, no sympathy. It’s f..ked me right off, but don’t cry on this show anymore.”
It’s hard to know whose fault this one is, but given that it ends with Keith and Dan confronting Tim and asking him to honour his original quote and finish the job for the price agreed, or walk, it does seem rather like Ankur and Sharon weren’t to blame.
Tim readily agrees and it seems all that angst may have been for nothing.
But Ankur and Sharon aren’t the only contestants having landscaper dramas.
Jenny and Dylan, before they realised their pool fence wasn’t glass.
Jenny is furious when she discovers her landscaper Inge has chosen black metal tubular pool fencing. Inge swears she consulted Jenny, and Jenny swears equally vehemently she didn’t.
“We’ve been installing it for two days, how come it’s coming up now?” Inge asks.
Jenny and Dylan battle it out over a pool fence with their landscaper Inge.
Jenny is distraught, having expected the fencing to be glass, but Inge says it’s too late to change it.
“And Jenny, I don’t want glass around the pool,” she says.
“But you’re not selling this place,” Jenny responds before storming off to slag Inge off as “f..king pushy”.
This time it’s Dan who comes up with compromise.
Jenny reminds her landscaper Inge that she isn’t the boss of her.
He’s found an image of a pool that has glass fencing across the front, and black tubular fencing on the other three sides. Inge admits they’d have time to replace one side with glass, and Jenny is happier with that than the current scenario, so an uneasy peace is reached.
