Mr Taylor said he and Ms Taylor raised their two children at the home and said for all the improvements they’d made over the years, the hardest to say goodbye to would be something most people wouldn’t even notice.

“The kids’ handprints are still in the concrete driveway,” Mr Taylor said.

“My wife is going to struggle, we have so many memories here.”

There’s plenty of options for the next owners to make memories, including a spacious theatre room on the lower-ground level that opens to an airy poolside deck where sweeping views of the neighbouring landscapes evoke a regional retreat.

Mr Taylor added that the home was perfect for both entertaining and lifestyle aspects, with his family hosting a number of parties including 21st birthdays. They’ve also previously kept red cows and goats on the property.

The pair plan to build a smaller house in Berwick.

Peak Real Estate director Kristen Turner added that the northerly aspect of the property made it feel as though it was on 100 acres instead of one 4000sq m.

“The appetite for that type of floorplan will be focused more on growing families,” Ms Turner said. “The first open inspection was really well received, I think the big attraction is that it’s 4km from Haileybury College.”
