One of Australia’s top models and her husband, who created the popular fast food chain Fishbowl, have listed their incredible Sydney apartment for auction as New York becomes their focus.

New Zealand-born Georgia Fowler is resuming her modelling career in the Big Apple while her hubby, Nathan Dalah, wants to launch his Aussie success story Fishbowl — with 44 restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne — in the US.

Fowler had announced in March on Instagram that she was back in New York after living in Australia for the past few years.

Over that period, she’d had a baby, daughter Dylan, and married Dalah.

Dalah bought the apartment for $6.6m in April of 2021.

The couple have gone to the extra expense of adding the swimming pool.

In the Insta post, she said she was “addicted to the hustle” of New York and “excited to be back with IMG models” 14 years after her first visit to the Big Apple.

It wasn’t clear then whether or not the move was permanent, but now comes the listing of their luxury whole-floor apartment at 1/49 Drumalbyn Rd Bellevue Hill — with Ray White Double Bay’s Warren Ginsberg — and the revelation that Dalah wants to bring Fishbowl to New York.

The chain, with the goal “change fast food, change the culture”, has come a long way since Dalah and uni mates Nic Pestalozzi and Casper Ettelson opened the first Fishbowl in Bondi Beach in 2016.

There are now 44 restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne, with the New York restaurant plan their first foreign venture.

They’d bought the three-bedroom, four-bathroom whole-floor garden apartment with double-parking off-the-plan for $6.6m in April, 2021.

Ginsberg now has a $6.8m guide for a November 16 auction.

The couple only won the keys five months ago, and have opted for a range of additions and improvements, such as a swimming pool and upgraded kitchen appliances and stone tiles throughout.

The apartment is also huge — with 205sqm of internal space and 175sqm of garden.

Says Ginsberg: “All up, it’s about 380sqm of living space and the apartment offers a very Mediterranean lifestyle — it feels like you’re permanently on holiday.”
