Renovation addict Alana Keep instantly pegged 27 Gimba Street as her next playground, but husband Gary Mawdsley was oblivious to the impending DIY storm about to hit their marital shores.

“When I first saw Gimba Street I knew it was perfect, so I didn’t even wait to let Gary see it, I signed a contract to buy it straight away,” Ms Keep said.

“Thankfully he is getting pretty good at trusting that my visions work out in the end.”

But while living and parenting through “literal chaos” has its downsides, Ms Keep is ready to do it all again.

“I do have nightmares about when we had toddlers and no benchtops in our kitchen and things like that,” she said.

“But ultimately I like to see the transformation – I would go as far as saying I am addicted to the transformation.”
