Buyers will be lined up for blocks to inspect this one-of-a-kind Newport home complete with an entire room decked out in more than $100,000 worth of Lego.

But they’re advised not to enter barefooted.

Couple Chris and Daniel are selling the waterfront pad in a move to upsize after Chris, a longtime Lego enthusiast, ran out of space for her expansive collection.

One of the four bedrooms at 3/89 The Strand features shelves upon shelves of various Lego models covering each wall, including a model Colosseum and even a theatre playing the Army of the Dead film with Lego zombies sieging the cinema.

Chris said she had slowly filled out the room since purchasing the property in 2008, but was excited to expand on her collection and create an even larger scale Lego room in their next home.

“I’ve been collecting since I was seven years old when the Lego Masters came out,” she said.

“Every year I usually do a Christmas themed build which takes up a whole table … it’s such a great stress relief.”

While Chris has received several sets as gifts from her husband, friends and family, she estimated that the collection was worth six figures.

“It’s just loads of fun, I can recommend it for every age group as it keeps your brain active,” she said.

The home stretches across three storeys accessed via an internal lift and has hit the market with a $2.9m-$3.1m price guide with Compton Green Inner West managing director Adrian Butera.

“The Lego won’t stay but we know many people are collectors of items and we can see that room being used by other families or couples with their own personal collection,” Mr Butera said.

Every wall in the room is covered in Lego.

“They can put them on the beautiful display shelves which will remain, or it could be easily converted to another bedroom.”

“There are so many areas of the home you can picture yourself using like the wine cellar and the family entertaining area – they complement each other,” Mr Butera added.
