Disgraced former NBL basketballer and serial rapist Tiny Pinder has been sentenced to eight years in prison and had his visa cancelled for committing two violent sexual assaults.

The Sydney District Court today heard the former Perth Wildcat is likely to be deported upon his release from prison, which could be as early as October 2026, with the sentence backdated to take into account the time he had already spent in custody.

Pinder was born in the Bahamas.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault, one of which involved recklessly inflicting bodily harm on his victim.

The woman was rushed to hospital after the 2009 incident with injuries that court documents described as life-threatening.
