Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL star Toby Greene has made his move from Sydney’s inner west to the eastern suburbs.

He’s just settled on what will be the family home given the arrival of his first child, daughter Isla, last month with partner Georgia Stirton.

Greene has spent $3.6m on a 1930s semi in Coogee.

It last sold in 2005 for $850,000.

After 54 sales, Coogee median house prices sits at $3.39m, down 6.5 per cent over the past year, according to PropTrack.

The club captain of the 2024 flag favourites is moving from Drummoyne where he sold his two-bedroom Federation semi-detached home for $1.89m, at just $50,000 more than what he’d paid for it in 2020, shortly after he signed what was one of the longest and most lucrative contracts in AFL history. He put pen to paper on a six-year deal worth $800,000 a year. In 2021 he added two more years to that contract, keeping him at the club until at least the end of 2026.

Greene, with 218 games having been an inaugural Giant taken with pick 11 in the 2011 AFL draft from the Oakleigh Chargers, will be located further south than other leaders in the Giants.

Callan Ward has called Bondi home since 2022 when he spent $5m on a Palm Springs-style home.

Former Giant Phil Davis has been based in around Bondi, as has Joel Patfull.
